"FUMO" - Animated Short Film

Project Scope: Background Art, Color Scripting, Environmental Asset Design

The Challenge:

The film required a vibrant, believable underwater world that could visually convey the shifting emotions of the story—from the initial cheerful beauty of the park to the melancholy of rejection and the chaotic danger of the final trend. The environments needed to be rich in detail to feel alive but also carefully designed to ensure the characters remained the focal point for the narrative.

My Solution & Process:

As the Lead Background Artist, I developed the entire visual language of the film's world. I began by establishing a comprehensive color script to map the emotional arc onto the palette and lighting of each scene. I then designed and painted all final background plates, creating a lush, tropical seabed that feels both magical and authentic. Additionally, I illustrated a library of reusable environmental assets, such as corals and sea plants, to maintain visual consistency throughout the animation pipeline. My work directly supported the storytelling by creating an atmosphere that amplified the protagonist's journey.

"FUMO" - The Teaser

When I first joined the FUMO project, I knew that the heart of the story wasn’t just in the characters—it lived in the world around them. The underwater park had to breathe, shimmer, and change with the emotions of the narrative. My role as Lead Background Artist was to make that world feel alive: a place that could welcome you with warmth, pull you into its melancholy, and finally overwhelm you with chaos when the story demanded it. This teaser offers a glimpse into that journey. Every coral, every ripple of light, and every shift in color was carefully designed to echo the emotions of the film. My goal was always to create environments that didn’t just sit in the background, but actively carried the storytelling forward. I invite you to dive in and experience the first hints of FUMO’s world—a place where atmosphere, color, and emotion intertwine to shape the story as much as the characters themselves.

"KREMA" - College Art Exhibition

Project Scope: Full Brand Identity, Key Visual Illustration, & Promotional Material Design

The Challenge:

The annual college art exhibition needed a fresh, compelling identity to break through the clutter of campus events and attract a diverse audience of students, not just those from the art department. The core challenge was to create a theme that felt both sophisticated and accessible, with a visual system flexible enough for both digital screens and large-format print.

My Solution & Process:

As the Lead Designer, I developed the concept "KREMA" and owned the project from ideation to final delivery. I crafted the central metaphorical illustration of a growing sprout formed from artistic tools, symbolizing the growth and blossoming of student creativity. I handled all typography, color theory, and layout to ensure a cohesive and impactful identity across posters, social media assets, and digital banners. The result was a unified and professional campaign that generated significant buzz for the event.

Artist Alley Merchandise: Bringing Art to Life & Community

The Project: Designing, producing, and selling original merchandise at fan conventions and artist alleys.

My Passion & Process:

For me, Artist Alley is more than just a marketplace; it's the vibrant heart of fan culture where art and community connect. I thrive on the entire process: from the initial spark of an idea to the thrill of seeing a fan's reaction when they hold a piece of my work. I sketch concepts that celebrate the characters and stories I love, focusing on expressive designs that translate beautifully into high-quality products like vinyl stickers, acrylic keychains, and art prints. Collaborating with my art circle to prepare for each event is a huge part of the joy, as we support each other through the creative hustle.

The Goal:

To create tangible pieces of art that foster a sense of belonging and shared passion. Every product is designed to be a small, affordable treasure that allows fans to bring a piece of their favorite worlds—and my art—into their daily lives.

Lost & Found - Children's Book Project

The Project: A collaborative college assignment to conceptualize, illustrate, and produce a complete children's book from start to finish.

My Role: Lead Penciller & Editorial Coordinator

The Creative Challenge:

Our team's goal was to create a charming, cohesive, and print-ready children's book on a tight deadline. The core challenge was to ensure a consistent visual narrative across multiple illustrators while maintaining a playful energy that would appeal to young readers.

My Process & Contribution:

As the penciller, I was responsible for establishing the visual flow of the story. I began by designing the character sheets to ensure consistency, then laid out the thumbnails and final sketches for my designated pages, focusing on clear storytelling through character expressions and dynamic compositions. In my role as editorial coordinator, I worked closely with the team to unify the artistic style, provide constructive feedback on sketches, and meticulously compile the final pages to ensure everything was perfectly aligned and ready for print. This project was a fantastic lesson in visual storytelling, project management, and collaborative creativity.
